Today I’m writing about another beauty product that is a recent discovery, but I can 100% say will now be a permanent part of my hair care routine. What is it that I am so in love with? It’s the Briogeo Rosarco Milk, a reparative milk leave-in conditioning spray.
I recently decided to color my hair that popular rose gold color that has been all over the Instagram and Pinterest worlds. I admit all the pretty pictures sucked me in and I just wanted to have the look. Unfortunately, in order to get the “it” look, my stylist had to bleach my hair to get the color. Now I have been coloring my hair for years (at least 10 years) but have never fully bleached my hair….And now I really wish I hadn’t 😦 Ever since I got the color, my hair has been SO DRY!! I mean like a brittle dry desert. No matter what sort of hair masks I used in the shower, by the time I got out and attempted to comb the mess it was horrible. I knew I had to get something, but honestly had no idea where to start. I have never had horribly knotty or dry hair so this was new territory.
A few months prior to “the incident” I had received a small sample of Briogeo’s Don’t Despair, Repair deep conditioning mask. It was one of those tiny samples from Sephora’s 100 point perk that I thought sounded nice….and, oh man, it is wonderful. I’m sure you are familiar with it; it has been getting all sorts of hype. JAMbeauty89 on YouTube has a great video where she talks about it (you should really check her page out if looking for some awesome content). I really like the Don’t Despair, Repair and tried using it more frequently, but it just wasn’t doing enough to tame the beast that was now my hair. So I looked into Briogeo’s other products and found the leave-in conditioning spray. It got some good reviews, and I knew I liked the conditioning mask so figured I may as well test it out. I mean really, I didn’t see how my hair could get much worse.
About the product: The Rosarco Milk Reparative leave-in conditioning spay is said to be an “ultra-lightweight leave-in conditioning spray fortified with a unique blend of nourishing rosehip, argan, and coconut oils.”
**FUN FACT: The “Rosarco” name is a combo of the first letters from each of the major oils featured in the product!! It only took me like month of using the product to figure that out 😉
It has none of that bad stuff in there; no sulfates, parabens, phthalates, silicones, or synthetic dyes. It is also vegan, cruetly-free, gluten-free and has organic ingredients, all of which is GREAT! The website says the product is safe for “color treated, keratin treated, chemically-treated, and relax hair”. So really, just about anyone can use it.
How I Use It:
It’s really a simple point and spray method I use. I get out of the shower and just wrap my hair in a towel to absorb the most of the water. No rubbing, no rough drying, no combing, nothing. Once I’m dressed I grab my bottle and spray very very liberally. I flip my head over and get the bottom of my hair as well as the top. Really, I sort of cocoon my hair in the wonderful smell of the product. Finally I take my wide tooth Conair comb and, just like magic, I can smoothly and easily comb my hair.
I don’t know how I made it for the weeks before having Rosarco in my life. It was a constant struggle and I dreaded washing my hair because I knew what came after was so painful.
Overall Thoughts: This product has been a life-saver. Not only does it make my hair easier to comb, which cannot be over appreciated, but I am also starting to notice that it is less dry feeling in that first moment of stepping out of the shower. The product absorbs great, and when I wake up in the morning my hair is still clean looking. I hate when you use a leave in product that instantly makes your hair look dirty The increase in my hair’s condition has been just wonderful. I am definitely babying much more now and trying to get it back to its old self, and the Rosarco has really helped. The awesome oils in the product are great at nourishing your hair and increasing shine and overall health.
Final Review: I LOVE this product and it has been so helpful. I would highly, highly recommend this to anyone who has dry hair, or is just looking for a good leave-in conditioner. Briogeo seems to be a great brand that has a lot going for it (vegan, cruelty-free, and none of those nasty sulfates or parabens). I will most certainly be trying out other products from them in the future. In fact, I may finally take the plunge and get a big tub of the Don’t Despair, Repair hair mask for nights I want to really pamper my hair.
Hope you enjoyed the review, and that is was helpful!
See you all soon,
